After the 2008 earthquake in the Sichuan Province of China, the Wolong Giant Panda Reserve Center and the Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center were severely affected and Pandas International dedicated itself to raising money to provide medicine, food and electrical equipment to the reserves and neighboring communities. In addition, donations, like the one being made by Accessory Power, will be used to fund Pandas International’s Bamboo Project, a drive to replant bamboo destroyed by the earthquake.

To support these efforts, Accessory Power has launched a bold campaign to support and raise awareness of Pandas International to help the nonprofit organization in their efforts of raising $100,000 to plant new bamboo at the Wolong Giant Panda Reserve Center.

In efforts to raise awareness of the nonprofit organization and help Pandas International reach its goal of raising $100,000 by December, Accessory Power will donate 5% of net profits from sales of the Panda Pal Speaker System from Aug 1 through Nov 30 of 2011 to Pandas International’s Bamboo Project.

In addition to raising money for Pandas International’s Bamboo Project, Accessory Power also hopes to encourage Panda Pal owners to support the nonprofit organization, having included an informational section in the Panda Pal Instruction Manuals on Pandas International and their mission to protect and preserve the Giant Panda and its habitat.
